Animal Rights vs. U.S. Dairy Industry

There's an article today on ABC.com about a Mercy For Animals undercover investigator's footage from a large New York dairy operation.  The article is sympathetic to the cows and includes excruciating footage of tail dockings and dehornings. The dairy trade group says that tail docking is done for cleanliness reasons, while the California director from the Humane Society says it is barbaric and unnecessary.  The article contains the usual quotes from the dairy farmers saying...

Join fellow Austinites in a vegan bakesale benefit for the people of Haiti on Sunday, January 24 from 12-4PM at Ten Thousand Villages (1317 South Congress).
