About Me
hello. i am a librarian at the harry ransom center, living in crestview (north central). vegan, no looking back. 30 something. very married, with 2 children. i am coming from the vegan abolitionist/liberationist perspective. i am constantly struggling with how to present this perspective to others without immediately alienating them, although i am not apologetic.

Welcome! We all struggle to find the best way to convey our message to others. Veganchic and Vegangrrl just returned from the AR conference in DC where many viewpoints were represented, from direct action to spay/neuter advocates, etc. It seems the key is just to remember that there is no one way of communicating and no one message that resonates with everyone. If anything, I have learned that by keeping my message simple and clear I have the best chance of getting through. I simply don't let people pull me off in different directions with hypothetical scenarios and "what-ifs".
One thing I think we can all agree on: never apologize for pointing out the truth! It is not our job to make people feel more comfortable with the choices they are making. Rather than justifying what I do, I feel perfectly fine letting people know that they are the ones that need to justify their actions.
Anyhow, we're glad to have you here and I hope you will join us for some activities soon!
