if there are protest against mandola then the goal should not be to "ruin their busines." the goal should never be to ruin any business since that might get us or you sued. the goal can be to call attn to how the dogs were shot and how the owners refuse to answer questions about why they were shot, etc, etc. I dont know if u can expect from the owners but clear goals about what u want from them will help u get what u want.

again, the goal should never be to drive someone out of business, or shut them down, or ruin their business.

Please keep us up to date as details emerge.  Once the facts are confirmed I am sure the whole group would get behind a PR campaign to expose this kind of animal cruelty.

You and I are actually on the same page.  You and I are both voting with our feet in not ever going to the Mandola establishments.  I don't want to give the Mandolas or their lawyer a way to stifle protest with threats of libel or slander.  My suggestion will "Libel Proof" those of us who want to protest this criminal act.  I hope that this ruins their business. My opinion is that Damian Mandola knows that someone close to him was behind this, and if he had any class or decency whatsoever he would march that person by the scruff of their neck over to the Maddux's for an apology, just for starters, instead of trying to cover this up. He could then come clean and give some major contributions to pet organizations.  This guy is just going to dig a deeper and deeper hole for himself. The real tragedy is that these wonderful dogs are never coming back.  By the way, I had two of the dogs that were killed climb in bed with me to be petted in the middle of the night.  They were wonderful dogs, and are sorely missed.

Thanks for signing up on the site and participating.  We met at the Puppy Party a while back.  We have some great events coming up.  Some are pure fun (Veggie Hot Dog Eating Contest on 7/4) and some are a little more work (speaking up for the animals when Ringling Bros comes to town in August).  We would love for you to join us at an upcoming event.  The 4th of July event in particular would be a great way to meet more of us in person in a fun atmosphere.  I hope you can make it!

Also, we have Core Group meetings twice a month (usually on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays  of the month, but sometimes we have to move them because of schedule conflicts -- see the Events list for actual dates).  These are the times where we sit down to talk about what is happening locally and what we can do to help.  You should come to the next one.  We would love to see you!
