I just need to let everyone know that this message is appearing on the new AFAA site, which should look the same to everyone as the old site. It may be that very few of you actually even noticed that the website changed servers, but it has in fact moved. But we kept the same domain name, ActionForAnimalsAustin.org, so you don't have to change your bookmarks or links.

Please keep in mind that we're still ironing out all the kinks. It's possible that you may experience a problem at some point, and you may or may not get an error message saying "We have been notified, and someone will look at the problem shortly."

Please don't trust that message, at least for now. If you experience a problem using the site, please send an email to vna_commdir@yahoogroups.com. I'm temporarily serving as the admin for the site until we can get everything back the way it was. Also, please bear in mind that I need a lot of patience- I'm completely new to this Community Engine system, and even when I find out you had a problem, it may take me a long time to figure out how to fix it.

Thank you very much for understanding.

Unfortunately I think Ernest may be right. The images were moved to the Amazon S3 online storage service when the site was moved. It's possible the lost images are still on the service, but the links are broken. But it's more likely that they somehow didn't make the transfer.

I really profusely apologize for this silvercreek- I personally get sick when I find out images or data of mine have been lost from a site or storage device. If there's any way to get them back, I'll find it. But I don't want to make a promise I can't keep- this was a difficult move to make, frankly way over my head, and I had to hire a guy to help me do it. I'll ask him if there's a chance the images are still recoverable.

Apologies, Silvercreek, for the lost images. Doesn't look like we'll be able to fix that.

A lot of the old images are broken now.  For some examples, look at the photos in my album.  About half are 404 dead.
