I'll post here when we have the details on that benefit. To find out more about the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act, check this out:

Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act (AETA) and the Green Scare: Workshop and Discussion
Saturday, August 8, 2009, 6pm
MonkeyWrench Books
110 East North Loop
Austin, Texas
Discuss what the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act (AETA) is and how it is one piece of the ongoing campaign of a government assault targeting animal liberation and earth defense movements specifically, and anarchist and radical communities in general. This talk will break down the text of the AETA bill, look at how the AETA fits in the timeline of the Green Scare, and discuss the emotional, psychological, and community impacts of this repression. This workshop will illustrate the significance of the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act to all of our freedom and will call for support of and solidarity with the AETA4.
ps Thanks eksatx for hipping me to the blogs! ;)

not just anti-fur activism, of course. i took that research blurb below from an old blog post i wrote here
I AM SO GOING TO THIS! Thanks for telling us!
The word "terrorism" has become common lingo in today's news climate. In 2006, The Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act (S.3880) passed the Senate and Bush signed into law. It gives the Department of Justice the "necessary authority to apprehend, prosecute, and convict individuals committing animal enterprise terror." Under this law, if your action causes a fur farmer "illness" you can be thrown in prison for up to 20 years. If you're a fur farmer, you mutilate animals and you are protected by our government.
Thanks for posting this. This law is still on the books and can still be used against us (AFA) or another animal rights group. It's major fault is that it is so broadly worded that anyone can be arrested by a misguided or ambitious sherrif or atty general, etc, and face decades behind bars. If you can attend please do so.
I'm glad I could help! I've got the date marked on my calendar. I'm looking forward to learning more about this. It's important that everybody understands that this is about more than just animal rights activism -- it's about civil rights and free speech in general.
I encourage people to use the ShareThis link (look up and to the left) to cross-post this to Facebook, MySpace, Digg, etc.
Be sure to post another blog entry about the benefit as soon as you have all the details!
