About Me

I am 31 and will be celebrating my 20th Veggie Anniversary next year.  I recently decided to leave my current job in order to pursue my dream of being a vegan pastry chef.  In September, I will begin my study in Patisserie and Baking at the Texas Culinary Academy.  Since they do not currently have vegan baking in the curriculum, my goal is to veganize the traditional patisserie methods and share these new methods with our chefs and chefs-in-the-making. It will be quite a challenge, but definitely one that I am ready to conquer!     

I was married on March 28, 2009 and promised myself that once the whirlwind of planning a wedding, a honeymoon, and working like crazy to afford it all ceased, I would stop being such a recluse and participate in more local activism.  So...here I am!  My loves of my life are my husband, my sweet lab-mix named Asda, and my adorable terrier-mix named Aiko.
