Action for Animals Austin

About Me

My name is Sara and I live in Colorado.  My friends Chris & Errol inspire me to do more for animal rights every day.  I am interested in getting animal rights firmly established as a field of study in colleges and universities, and also hope to see endowed scholarships and fellowships for those people focusing on animal rights as their primary field of study.  Bob Barker has endowed programs at 9 universities and that got me thinking...  what if all animal rights activists could endow a program or scholarship at their alma mater (or college of choice)?  It would help further the cause and promote the leaders of tomorrow who will become the lawyers, economists, public policy makers, business people, authors, etc. who will make the future a place where animals die of natural causes only.  Many university foundations will begin an endowment even with a small donation.  So that is what I am working on currently.  I am also a member of the Christian Vegetarian Association.  I love vegan desserts & raw food.  Also am a songwriter and screenwriter (always with animal rights themes).  I love hearing about all the great work AFAA is doing, and have passed along some of the ideas to the student animal welfare group at the college I work for...
